Since 1988, I have worked as a therapist in a private practice setting. I gained experience working with diverse communities at Catholic Charities, Head Start, and the Aids Health Project, in addition to working with clients who have been victims of crime.
Haight Ashbury Psychological Services and the California School of Integral Studies both offer training programs to interns preparing for licensure ; I have supervised students through these programs.
Offering therapy to those who would not otherwise have access to treatment has always been a part of my professional life. In the past I have worked with clients at The Aids Health Project, and A Home Within, an agency that supports those who are of who have been in the foster care system.
As Clinical Director of the San Francisco chapter of A Home Within I organized events on relevant topics and recruited volunteer therapists and began consultation groups.
Currently I offer pro-bono treatment thorugh the Oakland Women’s Cancer Resource Center.
As a mourner care counselor for Sinai Memorial Chapel, I work with those who have recently experienced a loss.
